Hanlie is a Research Coordinator at the Desmond Tutu TB Centre, Stellenbosch University, South Africa, where she is part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary socio-behavioural team that designs and implements TB and HIV-related research and implementation science projects. Her research sits at the intersection of anthropology and public health, and concerns how relational dynamics within health systems shape service delivery, access, and implementation of novel health technologies. Her goal is to translate ethnographic insights into practical applications that support more equitable health service delivery in low- and middle-income contexts
